Try closing and reopening the app, and check that you have the latest version from the App Store or Google Play. If it still doesn't work, write to us and describe what happened, ideally with your phone model and OS.
You can sign in with Google, Apple or email and password. If you've forgotten your password, choose "Forgot password" on the sign-in screen in the app and follow the link you get by email.
The information comes from other users, public registers and the city's open data. "Free" means that, as far as we know, the spot can be used without payment, but it is not a guarantee — always read signs and markings on site before you park. See the terms, sections 3–4.
New spots are reviewed by a moderator before they're shown to others. You'll get a notification once your spot is approved or declined (if you've turned notifications on).
The app is free to download, and once you're signed in the whole map is free: all the spots, their rules and street parking in Oslo. You can also share spots without paying. GratisParkering Pluss gives you the tools: filters, “Kjør hit” navigation, a parking timer, alerts before winter parking and zone rules, the map offline and unlimited favorites (3 without Pluss). Pluss costs 49 kr a month or 299 kr a year, and the yearly plan starts with 7 days free.
Street parking, the lines along the curb, comes from the city's open data, and so far it exists only in Oslo. Elsewhere you only see street stretches that users have added and we have approved. Zoom all the way in to street level to see them. The lines are guidance: temporary signs and roadworks aren't in the data, and the sign on site always applies.
Cancel your subscription in the App Store (Settings → your name → Subscriptions) or Google Play (Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions). Deleting the app or your account does not automatically cancel the subscription. See the terms, section 8.
Every 3rd upload with a photo that gets approved (spots or street stretches) earns you 30 days of Pluss as credit on your account, up to three times per 12 months. On iPhone you redeem it in the Pluss sheet with “Bruk gratis måned” (the app is in Norwegian). On Android it can't be redeemed yet, but the credit stays on your account. It doesn't unlock anything until you redeem it. Declined, deleted or duplicate spots don't count. Write to us if the number looks wrong and we'll take a look.
Report the spot from its page in the app, or write to us. We moderate reports on an ongoing basis. Remember: the information in the app comes from users and public data and is not a guarantee — always read the signs on site, see the terms, sections 3–4.
